Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge 47

This week I thought I would try two challenges in one card. It proved to be more of a challenge than I thought, the colors just didn't seem to work for me. The highlight of this card came when Peggy from PaperworksCo. came to my door to drop off my order, just as I was taking a picture of this card. So before I took the picture I thought to add some of the dew drops she dropped off and even that didn't help this card. Oh well, here it is anyway. Not everything works out the way you envision it. Stamps: Friendship Blooms, Fancy Everyday Phrases, Paisely BG
Cardstock: Lovely Lilac, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Lovely Lilac, Craft White
Accessories: Ticket Corner punch, Nestabilities, Primas, Brads, Piercing Tool, White Pen, White SU Ribbon, Lilac Marker, Dew Drops

New Technique - Diorama Card

This challenge proved to be more challenging than I thought. I really wanted to use the Touch of Nature stamp set and incorporate a sponged landscape background. Cutting out the little bird took a great deal of patience, but finally here it is.

Stamps: A Touch of Nature

Cardstock: Textured Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White

Ink: Old Olive, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Night of Navy, Going Gray, Sahara Sand

Accessories: Scalloped Oval and Oval Nestabilities

IC126 Scrapbook Inspiration

This week's Saturday Inspiration Challenge is to make a card that is inspired by a scrabooking page. A fitting challenge for National Scrapbooking Day.

This page was made last year and it is one of my favorite pages. The colors were inspired by the picture of my niece, Olivia, my favorite little girl. She was about 2 1/2 years old in this picture. It's hard to believe she'll be 4 years old this September. Here's the card inspired by the scrapbooking page

Stamps: Polka Dot and Paisley, Riveting, Everyday Flexible Phrases
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pixie Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Pixie Pink, Craft White
Accessories: Circle punches, Ribbon, Button, Piercing tool, White Uniglo Pen
